Looks rather pretty, until you call to mind, This all-concealing weed is the Kudzoe vine. Brought from Japan several decades ago (No one thought it would proliferate so') 'cause it covers the soil at an amazing rate, And it's strong roots make it hard to displace. No matter how you try to destroy it, Kudzoe wins each race' Cut it down- burn it- spray chemicals on it. Just be careful it doesn't cover your wife's newest bonnet. It's not poisonous to touch, nor does it have any sting, But it sucks the life out of living things. Trees and hedgerows- all dead, or dying. In many areas the people have just given up trying. To control the spread of these green nemesis; And just hope it stays away from where each of them is. This how sin affects your spiritual life, Causing ruin, destruction, and strife. One little piece, if you let it get planted, Will spread like wildfire- so much more than you wanted' 'Til your heart is covered, and life cannot flow in, Oh, be ever so wary of how you treat sin' When it comes your way and tries to take root, Do not allow even the tiniest shoot.
