The television is off and being that it's nearly 3:00am there are no sounds of traffic, trains or planes. Suddenly, the wind starts to pick up outside and my shutters start fluttering and flapping. The whistling from the howling wind gets louder and the sounds from the trees swaying has given me an eerie and ghostly feeling. Kitty gets frightened as well as jumps onto my lap for comfort and assurance of safeness and security. As I gently stroke her risen soft hairs, I slightly close my eyes and feel comfort myself as her ever so soft little purrs warms my spirit. The strong winds keep me awake and as Kitties paws are resting upon my neck, her stretched out claws tickle me and for some odd reason it takes me to my dusty box of memories. As I open up the box the very first memory that flourishes out, is the one when I first met Kitty. Oh, how I remember that cold and windy day when I went for a stroll in the park. I walked for hours that blustering day circling 'round the park thinking back at the good old days when my parents were still alive, and I was but a child. I was naughty quite often and back then when we were naughty it usually resulted in a stroke from a belt from pop, or a slap in the face from mom. I would do anything now for just one more of those memorable ass-whippings or a slap in the face. As I was teary-eyed and still reminiscing near the end of my walk, I hear a loud meow coming from under a bench. So, I went there to see the cat that was making these crying meows, and I was quite taken when I saw Kitty all alone and shivering. She was only a kitten when I found her and that's why I call her Kitty. I quietly close my old dusty box of memories, open up my slightly closed eyes, and pet Kitty until that eerie and ghostly wind calms. when I found kitty dusty box of memories that walk in the park
