Well, How About This?
Is this that most uncertain day When new thoughts rising Demand their say Breaking with past ways thought secure That like broken icebergs, face warming waters pure Met in life changed, as sons and daughters And other melted sirens of various kinds. Water is water, so it is all singing say So why not merge with us today For Sun’s hot, and rousing us to fly Into forming clouds that fill the sky Or stay firm as ice you can see in heading south To butt into brothers like yourself To in the end make full southern amends By becoming ice-lands once again. So when you’re ground and melted down And all can see, what in the past you’ve found Will they believe you, from far north or south Or think stranger meltings fill their mouth Or just murmur, smile, and shake their head And not give a lick for what’s been said Since ice is ice, whether north or south Or in a drink heading for your mouth No matter where your ice journey led... Instead of rain, it’s just piss instead.
