My Elusive Christmas Spirit
My Elusive Christmas Spirit I can’t find my Christmas Spirit I don’t know where it went I hoped that I could get it back through the Christmas cards I sent. Although they made me smile as I signed my name to each, my elusive Christmas Spirit seemed just a little out of reach. I thought a trip to the local mall would surely do the trick. With its Christmas trees and music playing, and Jolly Ole Saint Nick. Although I felt a little better as I bought a gift or two, my Elusive Christmas Spirit just wasn’t in my view. I hoped by wrapping all my gifts In bright paper and red bows, that I could finally shake whatever was making me feel so low. Although it helped to finish yet another Christmas endeavor, my Elusive Christmas Spirit seemed lost to me forever. I prayed my finished Christmas tree with it ornaments and lights would finally give me the lift I needed, on this December night. As I sat there gazing at the tree my heart begun to swell, for hanging right before me was my treasured silver bell. As a held it gently in my hand sweet memories flooded back to the night I witnessed Santa remove it from his sack. He hung it on the Christmas tree turned and called to me, there’s magic in this silver bell as long as you believe. As I sat there contemplating just how this came about I saw there was a note attached to the little silver bell. I knew that you misplaced your bell and was feeling sad and blue So I used my magic powers to bring it back to you. “You haven’t lost your Christmas Spirit or the magic it imparts all you really had to do was to look within your heart . It’s there that they’ve been waiting for you to realize, that you’ll always have your Christmas Spirit as long as you believe”. Love, Santa
