A simple hey is all it took
***A simple Hey is all it took*** A message of a “hey,” a spark ignites In the vast silence of digital nights Two souls entwined in words so sweet The rhythm of sharing, our hearts skip a beat Texting turned deeper, Your laughter, your stories, I lost track of time. Emojis and late nights, our voices would blend, Each pixel and longing to mend. Then came the screens that lit up our nights, FaceTiming through shadows, sharing our sights. Your smile, a beacon that banished my fears, Each moment together, I cherish But oh, the rules I had sworn i would defend, Trembled and melted as we reached out, my friend. The walls that I built, fortified tight, Were crumbling down with each simple sight We share a birthday, what sweet fate devised, Two hearts intertwined, two lives realized. Yet now as I stand on this delicate brink, There's a fear in my chest that tightens, I sink. For sometimes the real is a dangerous game, And with every heartbeat, I feel the same flame. What if we falter, what if we fall? What if your absence echoes, haunting my call? But even in fear, there’s a beauty that's raw, To let you in close, when my heart knew With you, it’s a journey, uncharted and bright, As we navigate paths through the long, starry night. So here’s to the “hey” that blossomed and grew, To the laughter and late nights, just me and you. Though I tremble with worries, one truth I hold dear, You’ve changed my world, and I want you right here.
