Love is Enough!
All the yesterdays, With their shadows, haunting Feeding my heart with melancholic Memories, floating on seas Of silence, still as the moments Falling. Like leaves or dandelion seeds, Alive, dancing, blowing… All the yesterdays, In prayers, erasing the darkness, Silly moments stored up, Sweeter than the moonlight, Twilight seekers, Waiting in the southern sands, Colors of hope, lessons in lavender, Wisdom, brilliant as sapphire, Glorious golden, glistening, Graceful as the whisper on a breeze, Songs, singing, playing in the trees… All the yesterdays, Broken down toys – riding on light, Faded from the sorrows, Beneath a smile, splendor excited By the rain falling, the music Of teardrops subsiding, Blessings in rhythms of poetry, Designed to rest in the silence, Graceful as the leaves, Inviting the serenity of faith, Guiding the glorious stories A fountain of lacey thoughts, Fading from the light, Hope bound up in the edges of smiles, Portrayed by heaven sent messages, Blessings… All the yesterdays, Brave warnings of what is fated, The steely – souls knowing, Echoing past the creative, In joys, gentling, gesturing to the wistful, Whimsical, frosty, amazing What it means to have Christmas Collected in the spirit, Pouring out wonder, overflowing The knowing… All the yesterdays, In feathery flakes, snow Wafting through the edges of a moment, Before hearts were forced to forget, The teasing flecks of light, Soft, treasures bound for the night Before the heart senses its hope, Drawing near, forming the silhouette Free, graceful, sincere, The serenity of a snowdrop tear, Erasing the moonlight, Stars glowing, remembering… All the yesterdays, Before God sent the angel to say, “He is coming – He is near – He is where”… The light never screams fear – there is never a tear… It is the moment before God told us He is where… Love never fails. Love never dies. Love always tries. Listen, it is Christmas and He is with us… Love is with us – it is glowing in the spirit who believes, The spirit who knows Jesus and is saved… By the love that came down to remind us What God gave… oh, what He gave… eternity For the soul who He came to save, The soul who He surely made The soul He gave… A second chance, a lifetime of grace, the living faith… So all the yesterdays can’t possibly dampen the spirit God gave The spirit who is humble, yet can surely pray… And praise the One who came to make a way… For love to say… Jesus is the answer – He is everything! This is the good tidings, From the light that glows, Sparkling in the heart Who surely knows… Christmas brings each believer a gift of hope, A love that shows… God is with us And His love grows… Inside those who believe He is the Son, the love… He is the One who came down from heaven above, To remind us, despite all the yesterdays, Before we knew Him as God’s gift of love, He still came to us – though we were sinners, Teaching us, through grace, that love is enough… Love is enough!
