Crystal Ball
Yesterday, a whisper from the past- A fragment of a time gone by, Staring into a crystal ball, to see beyond my future walls- Dazzling from the bright sun in my eyes. Memories, the pictures in my mind- Fade until they all disappear, I still feel you in my arms, how your smile kept me warm- All I have leftover are my tears. Whatever happened to that vision in my crystal ball, Shining so brightly with the sun’s sweet light? Starting to wonder of the vision from that crystal ball- Maybe the rays were just making me blind. Suddenly, without any warning- The future becomes today. A vision that was once clear, seems to all but disappear- Now everything in my life has changed. Emptiness is filling up my heart- I spend my hours missing you. I wish you were here today, how I long for your embrace, To warm up this heart so cold and blue. Whatever happened to that vision in my crystal ball, Shining so brightly with the sun’s sweet light? Starting to wonder of the vision from that crystal ball- Maybe the rays were just making me blind.
