When I Don't Know What To Do
Author Dana Redricks November 7, 2024 When I don’t know where to turn, when it feels like my heart will burn, God, You bring comfort, You set me free, You heal my soul, You restore me. At times, it’s hard to see how You could love someone like me, so unworthy of such grace, but then You remind me still— Your love is endless, Your love is real. Through every struggle, You’ve never turned away, even when I wished I could be someone else, Hoping people would accept me, not judge or treat me differently. Lord, I’m tired of the loneliness I face, like a bird, I long to rise above this place— To soar and grow, to be free, to live in peace, to just be me. No one knows the pain I bear, the weight of emotions, the silent despair. I wish someone would stay, to help me heal from life’s betrayals each day. Shattered and broken, longing for more, I dream of a day when my soul will soar— When I can stand strong, and no longer feel frail, when all this hurt will finally sail.
