Weeping Willow
A lonely willow stands out from all the rest of the forest the bark so hard and cold that a butterfly lands and turns to stone Making the willow look like a gothic statue All dark and gloomy Bark tearing into places showing white raw flesh underneath Bearing its soul a little to the world But who sees this willow who hears its screams its crys at night when no one is around It weeps sap from its bones leaking it to the ground Hoping someone or something will see him. See the pain hes been through He waits each day and night and at twilight the willow weeps another night knowing no one will know who he is know what hes been through so he keeps his gothic statue the way it is. Just now hes trying to seal the wounds up To seal his secrets up With his tree trunk hollowing away to being nothing but cracked wood To be someone's fire wood for the winter Burning away for their pleasures wilting away the pain you had Withering away to nothingness and yet the pains burn crimson showering the people with a yellow glow to their houses Never given a moment its heartbreak or pain that makes it burn those colors brightly.
