Ashen raindrops drench me to my marrow. For I’ve been cursed by a heartless lover, Who tossed me aside like a ragdoll. The chill of his absence clings to me Like frost upon my skin, A haunting memory that lingers. Fractured and frostbitten from his cold shoulder, My melancholic heartbeat thrums a sorrowful tune As I search for solace in the vacant spaces That were once filled with joy, Swallowing the bitter pills of regret. In this cycle of hopelessness, I find myself trapped, Immersed in the depths of despair That ruthlessly darkens my heart. In an act of desperation, I traded my essence for devotion, Seeking refuge where none exists. Haunted by my past self, I exist devoid of vitality, As the remnants of love have turned to ash, Calcified within my soul. Yet, I yearn for dawn’s gentle caress To awaken me from this living hell, Where silence reigns and love’s kiss beckons me to heal. A dawn of a new day offers a teasing glimmer of hope With the promise of renewal amid the ruins. Like a phoenix adorned with Kintsugi gold threads, I will rise and live to love again. From the ashes, the embers of past fires Will reignite to rebirth me anew.
