Free Palestine
In '48, a state was born, But for Palestine, a time to mourn. Nakba came, with lands displaced, A people scattered, dreams erased. In '67, the war did rage, West Bank, Gaza, a new stage. Occupied lands, under control, A decades-long, heart-wrenching toll. Settlements rose, on stolen ground, International law, nowhere to be found. Homes demolished, olive trees burned, A cycle of pain, where hope is spurned. Checkpoints, walls, and daily strife, A life of hardship, devoid of life. Children grow, in a cage of fear, Their future bleak, their voices clear. Gaza’s blockade, a cruel siege, Basic needs, a distant dream. Bombs and rockets, a deadly dance, Innocent lives, caught in a trance. UN resolutions, and countless calls, For justice, peace, to break the walls. Yet power and politics, blind the sight, Of those who could end this endless plight. The world debates, but actions stall, While Palestine suffers, through it all. A cry for freedom, a plea for peace, For the occupation’s grip to cease. From the past to now, the story’s told, Of a land divided, a people bold. Their spirit strong, their will unbent, For justice and peace, their hearts are sent. Israel’s might, and Palestine’s plea, A call for justice, to set them free. For in their struggle, we find our sign, To stand together and Free Palestine. In Gaza’s streets, where children play, The skies rain down, turning night to day. Homes reduced to rubble, dreams to dust, Innocent lives shattered, in a world unjust. Mothers weep, their tears like rain, For sons and daughters, lost in pain. Fathers stand, with hearts so torn, In a land where hope is worn. The bombs they fall, with deadly might, Turning day to endless night. Hospitals and schools, no longer stand, In this ravaged, war-torn land. The cries for help, they pierce the air, A plea for justice, a desperate prayer. But the world looks on, in silent shame, As genocide unfolds, in Israel’s name. Children’s laughter, now replaced, By the sound of war, and lives erased. A generation lost, to fear and strife, In a struggle for their very life. The blockade tightens, food runs thin, A cruel punishment, for a people’s sin. Water scarce, and power gone, Yet their spirit fights, from dusk till dawn. In the rubble, they find their strength, To stand and fight, to go the length. For freedom’s light, they hold so dear, In the face of death, they show no fear. The Western world, with eyes turned blind, Supports the siege, in actions unkind. Aid and arms, they freely send, To fuel the conflict, without end. Politicians speak, of peace and right, Yet back the bombs, that fall day and night. Economic ties, and deals so grand, While Palestine bleeds, they shake hands. The world must see, the pain and plight, Of a people caught, in an endless fight. For in their struggle, we find our sign, To stand together and Free Palestine.
