I Would Have Held On To My Heart
I Would Have Held On to my Heart Looking back on our time together I see it as a learning tool Lessons on life and relationships Not found in books or at school I wanted so much to get to know you hearing all that you had to say And my heart wanted to believe in you but it hasn't always turned out this way There are days when I wish I could turn back time to the days when we first met I would open my eyes and pay closer attention understanding your true mind set Now dont get me wrong I think you are great the best man I've ever known But you were not ready for a relationship which time has truly shown I know that we would have become great friends each of us doing our part We would have shared good times and laughter but I would have held on to my heart
