What the Cat Dragged in the song
[Guitar solo introduction] [Chorus] Oh look at what the cat dragged in, and he looks like the dog worked him over too, and for some reason he thinks he smells like clover, was it whisky or wine? or was it too much beer? you just can't resist, and you never desist, chasing skirts and getting looped and coming home but you know I take you back and mostly with a laugh, you are that kind of redneck, that is hard to lay off, you only do it to see if you can, and then you return with your ego fed. You romance me again and we do the turn and burn! [Guitar instrumental] [Chorus]  Oh look at what the cat dragged in and he looks like the dog worked him over too and for some reason he thinks he smells like clover was it whisky or wine? or was it to much beer? you just can't resist, and you never desist chasing skirts and getting looped and coming home! You are the master of disguise is it the cowboy hat? or are you in the ball cap? or the hunters muffler ears covered trap? But your smile captures hearts and you're the silver tongued devil and every bar wench and waitress thinks you are theirs and no trouble...... [ Outro] We have 2 rules, just not in our bed and don't bring it back to the homestead But do tell all about it, and talk it up with a grin and from time to time I do it too, just to add to the sin! [guitar outro] Oh look at what the cat dragged in and he looks like the dog worked him over too and for some reason he thinks he smells like clover was it whisky or wine? or was it too much beer? You better wash up dear before you get too near! Cause if you climb into bed like that you ain't getting coffee in the morning!! you ain't getting coffee in the morning!! you ain't getting coffee in the morning!! fend for yourself you will!
