Journey To Self-Love
Help yourself first to acknowledge life is a precious gift given to you and you are unique, intricately created with attributes and talents. Be thankful and focus on you, your attitudes, characteristics, traits, talents to know yourself better instead of comparing you to others. We came from different walks of life with different life experiences. Could be good or bad, happy or sad, hard or easy, privileged or not. Whatever we went through, we surpassed them and we are here, so be appreciative of who you are, what you have at the present. Your attributes, maybe talents, if you recognized them early on, walk of life and experiences can help you discern your strengths and weaknesses and being thankful and appreciative enhances your strength to let go of negative aspect of your life experiences. Keep an open mind and embrace the lessons learned from the negatives you had gone through and the positive aspect of your life experiences to grow and work on your weaknesses. Knowing you is being aware of your strengths and accepting your flaws. Knowing yourself is being aware of your core values, showing authenticity, discovering your passion and talents, accepting your mistakes, developing self-respect, self-worth and self-love. Self-love is not selfishness; it is taking care of your well-being.
