My Heart Goes On
In my dream I hear the haunting strings of a violin tune that we both adored. It is a sad violin tune, melancholy and touching to my heart, spirit, and soul, I could listen to this memorable music forever, as it reminds me of my true love, now gone above. It takes me to his last moments alone in this world . It happened on a winter day, the rain was falling in waves and his car hit ice and was spun out of control, said the police. It crashed into a deep ravine and my love was gone. In dreams I go to him on the rocks, my hair fanned out to kiss his dead lips farewell. The days after were mournful, and our violin tune played over and over in my mind, and still does taking me to the day we first met. Oh my heart ! Though my time with him was short our love was full of passion and lust, tenderness, and devotion. He knew my heart and I knew his. Oh, I still yearn for him each day. Our days were rapture and beautiful enchantment. I had never met a man quite like him and know that I never will ever again. And although the tune makes me sad, I feel he is with me when I listen, he watches over me. And it brings me comfort and I cherish it. So, in dreams it drifts and I welcome it, embracing the notes as they wrap around me like his arms once did. Death is but a door, it is not the end. For, I know when my journey on earth ends he will be waiting for me at those golden gates.
