Puppy means love
Years ago Life was so slow So alone I did grow There was no one near Just the fear That I was alone for good Is all I understood I let life pass me by The tears I would sometimes cry Alone I would walk No one in which to talk Life has me down In sorrow I felt I would drown Everyone needs someone With whom they could watch the sitting sun Make life a little more fun Was walking around Nowhere was I bound Just passing the day When along my way I saw puppies lying along side the road Someone had lightened their load Too bad So sad Someone had tossed them aside My sadness I could not hide As I walked by I thought I was going to cry Then I Saw this eye So beautiful and green Amazed at what I had seen I knelt beside her Felt my heart stir Gently lifted her from the ground To weak to make a sound I carried her home hoping she would survive I just had to keep her alive She already made it to my heart I did not want her to part Everyday In every way I cared for her Still she made my heart stir After a week or more Her strength started to soar Then one night After I turned out the light I felt something touch my side To my surprise I could not hide What could it be It was my puppy snuggling up next to me For ten years A lot less tears Always at my side My love I cannot hide When I look at her I still fill my heart stir
