Its bitter smell will linger like rotten eggs in the night breeze. Once upon a time, when sunshine kissed the honeyed horizon, there existed a handsome knight. His eyes glistened like emeralds in the illuminating moonlight, and his hair was golden, like perfect strands of straw. The Queen, with her long ivory hair and sapphire eyes, became utterly infatuated by this mysterious man. With the King's duties keeping him away for long periods, the Queen grew very lonely. So with the King gone and as the last caws of the crows silenced, the Queen would invite Humpty Dumpty (originally known as Humble Harold Junior) to her chamber of lavish entertainment. There, he would tell her comical tales of the valley, make her laugh, and drink until the moon slipped below the white-tipped ocean. She longed for any form of kindness and warmth, and he, with his charming nature, knew how to make her feel cherished. But it wasn't long before the King found out about their scandalous escapades in graphic detail. You see, he never fully trusted his wife, so when he was gone for periods of time, he left behind sinister spies. And when he knew what went on in his absence, he was furious, with the wrathful rage of a thousand suns. So one day, the King summoned a wicked sorcerer to cast a spell upon Humpty Dumpty. He told the magician to take all his beauty away and turn him into a hideous clown. But the dark arts played their little games and turned him into an egg instead! Even though the Queen no longer recognized him, not a day went by when she didn't think of his kind soul. Whenever she saw his eyes, she felt his presence. The King wasn’t pleased with this—a narcissist's worst nightmare lay before him. So this time, he ordered the guards to build a wall, lure Humpty Dumpty to sit on it, and then push him to his doom, ensuring he would never see the light of dawn again. And he did not. He slowly cracked, leaving behind a puddle of rancid yolk. As he lay dying, he uttered his last breath, cursing the King and all of his servants to a nightmarish realm. As the light faded from his eyes, the yolk transformed into a devilish well, where the water turned blood red and screams of anguish could be heard. As time passed, his voice still lingered and echoed through the hallways, while his ghost continued to haunt the King, especially when the clouds were heavy and laden with ash, and the sky flowed with eclipsed beams. You can see his silhouette sitting on the cursed well. One by one, all the king’s horses and all the king’s men began to disappear. Nobody knows what happened to them, but you can still hear their screams reverberate through the night…
