A Damsel in Distress
“I ain’t happy in this relationship.”said he “Go with the flow don’t drown is this sea.” Does that mean he doesn’t enjoy my company? Or does that say “You are just amongst the many.” He is distant and cold Hurtful and bold Not willing to comprehend that his words cut deep Doesn’t his heart ache anymore to see his love weep? When you are willing to hurt the other person it’s a facade It’s not an effort not the truth but an inert voice calling discard. When the novelty dies you ain’t cute Your heart cries but he turns deaf and mute. You doubt yourself sinking in grief “You don’t interest me” he said that in brief. “How long will you live in denial accept the fact you aren’t the damsel I desire. You were pretty and sweet a girl I never thought I would meet but now I see those tears and doubts..your anxiety and your thoughts.” “I choose happiness and sanity above all and you’re too much of work but still I gave it all. I realise I can’t fix you but I don’t want to hurt you. Why don’t you just pack and leave Think of it as a good learning..not sit by the tombstone and grieve.” Am I the damsel in distress? I know I overthink and sink in stress. Nobody struggles more than me I fight these thoughts that are eating me. Wishing and whining our life will end Walking on eggshells how do you intend to mend..? Picking those broken pieces holding it close to the chest Sewing it up all as it still belongs to my nest.
