Here I am Send me Isaiah 6:8 part sixteen NIV
The song and dance of Miriam and the women Exodus 15:19 When Pharaoh's horses, chariots and horsemen went into the sea (Red Sea), the LORD brought back the waters of the sea back over them, but the Israelists walked through the sea on dry ground. Than Miriam, the prophetess, Aaron's sister, took a tambourine in her hand. and all of the women followed her with tambourines and dancing. Miriam sang to them: "Sing to the LORD, for he is mighty exalted. The horse and his rider he has hurled into the sea." The Waters of Marah and Elim Exodus 15:22- 27 Then Moses lead Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the desert of Shur. For three days they traveled in the desert without finding water. When they came to Marah, they could not drink because the water was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah.) So the people grumbled against Moses, saying,"What are we to drink?" The Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet, Then the LORD made a decree and a law for them, and there he tested them. He said,"If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all of his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought upon the Egyptians, for I am the LORD who heals you." Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees. The LORD addresses Israel Micah 6:3-4 My people, what have I done to you? How have I burdened you? Answer me. I brought you up out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. I sent Moses to lead you and also Aaron and Miriam. Commentary All throughout this latest of mini-series, I have sometimes used headings of my own and not the Bible's. Case in point: the proper heading for Exodus 15:19 was directly under: The Song of Moses and Miriam. But I only included Miriam and the women and not Moses. Hence my own shortened title because the original one wasn't appropriate because it excluded Moses. I didn't need the entire song only the part concerning Pharaoh, and his escorts being covered by the Red Sea, but not Israel! Also in Micah 6:3-4 the Biblical heading was God's case against Israel. But I only included verses three and four because it mentioned: Moses, Aaron and Miriam; it fitted this particular story line and mini-series.
