Life's Game
Out of touch with this world. I’m a observer , watching life race by. When did this change, I want to ask someone who has the answer. Somehow life forgot I was a participant. I sit on this bench waiting for a glimpse that life will give me a chance to play. Patience hates me, I tug at it’s arm waiting for a response. Sometimes I feel so far away. I lie to myself , smiling as I try to become someone else. This doesn’t work, I want to start everything all over again. I want to throw in my towel and forget I ever tried. But my faith gives me hope. Somewhere there is a finish line beckoning me. It’s worth a try. My courage of failing lifts me up. I become elevated with faith. Knowing I am better than this. Now I save myself and stop looking . I figure why wait, life can’t chose my fate. I will pay any cost to feel the game of life. To many regrets as I sat and waited on life’s sidelines. Now I give God a reason to notice me. Oh how I shine.
