A homeless poet
In solitude I wander, a homeless poet I've become, Surrounded by four walls, yet my spirit remains numb, Without her by my side, my abode feels empty and desolate, No matter where I lay my head, I feel like a stranger, sealed by fate. Once upon a time, we shared a love so pure and strong, But now she's gone, and I'm left singing this sorrowful song, Her absence, a void, consumes my very being, Leaving me adrift, lost in this world unseeing. My verses, once vibrant, now echo with despair, The ink of my poems tainted by the weight it's not fair, Every word I write bears the weight of my melancholy, A constant reminder that my heart is forever lonely. I seek comfort in rhyme, hoping to find peace within, But it's a fleeting comfort, like a whisper in the wind, A homeless poet, abandoned by love's cruel design, Left to wander this existence, where darkness intertwines. So I'll continue to walk, through streets cold and forlorn, A homeless poet, haunted by memories stillborn, With each step I take, I'll pour my anguish into every line, Hoping that someday, my lost love I may find. But until then, I'll pen my word's, through each sorrowful verse, A homeless poet, forever cursed.
