The calm and sweet serenity of our Creator's very own world some how keeps on beckoning unto me that home is where my restless heart does linger and where my poetic heart and soul has finally somehow managed to be set free. The gentle breeze gently waving through the soft green trees, the clear blue water runs o'er large brown rocks in a pristine scenery it is where alas I most likely will claim as my very own privately sheltered secluded domain. O The Beauty of the earth O the majestic panoramic sites of our clear blue cloudy skies make me wonder what care I of all of the problems of the earth below? This earth is not my home Nor can I claim it as my own my sights are set upon God's celestial heavenly kingdom of paradise where I can lay to rest this mortal body of dust and decay I am only a pilgrim passing through throughout the remainder of my earthly life where a poet's body's ashes are finally laid to rest among-st the flowers and the trees. Who can liberate me from this earthly body of death and decay? Many have tried and many have failed but only the Son of Man has prevailed only He has successfully risen from the grave. Come tomorrow "Come tomorrow, we'll all be older Come tomorrow, maybe a solider? Come tomorrow, we'll be older than today." Sleep little children sleep and wake to a brand new day Your worlds are filled with discovery of whatever the future may hold in store for you long after I am dead and gone and have sang my final earthly poetic swan's songs. Should our Lord tarry and should He delay? I do not think so this world is filled with trouble and woe. People come and people go for what grantee do we have of our tomorrows? Only God alone knows and only He can say when we shall meet him face to face on that bright and glorious day. And the earthly memory of them shall be forgotten As long as we are survived by those who can cherish our memories, but there might come a time when, all have died, both our families and our friends, and who will be left alive to remember us then? Most of the records of my family's tree have been long since destroyed it's true only God knows. Roxanne Lea Dubarry Roxy Lea 1954/October Country May 28, 2024
