The Mind
The Mind The mind is moving. Following the rhythmic motion of the tides. High tide is an amazing time of here and now. A time of remembrance. As high tide comes in with such force. Bringing all the wonderment's that fill the vast ocean. The treasures that are always present. But kept far in the deep abyss. Only to be exposed when and where they wash up. You know our names. The familiar faces of those who love you. So much to talk about. To laugh, to cry. It seems so calm and clear. But as sure as high tide comes in. It also goes back out to bring in the low. Taking along with it all the treasures and trinkets that have washed ashore. Leaving only bits and pieces that remain buried deep within the sand. To try to hold on to the mind, would be like trying to keep your hands filled with sand. As the waves pound them. It slowly washes away. Leaving emptiness. You collect the treasures that have been left. And hold them dear. Hoping high tide comes back with many more wonders from within. As you leave, you kiss Grandmother............ Goodbye. And remind her who you are. It was a good day.
