The Bucket List Blues
When my doctor calls me in, says I’ve got complications, let’s not blow our savings, on round the world vacations, my pre-paid funeral, is all that I want planned, I’ll refuse a fancy cruise, that trip to Disneyland. There’s not much left, that I want to do, I just don’t want to die with the bucket list blues. We’ve travelled the world, and really seen some sights, I’m so glad we sailed the Nile and saw the Northern Lights, let’s just find ourselves, a real old fashioned pub. one that pours a decent pint, and serves up decent grub. There’s not much left, that I want to do, I just don’t want to die with the bucket list blues. Let’s spare everybody, that sponsored mountain climb, one last glimpse of Winter Hill, well that would be just fine, meeting the Beckhams or Windsors? simply not my thing, I might just tell the grandkids though, how I met Ben E King. There’s not much left that I want to do, I just don’t want to die with the bucket list blues...
