My Sock My Sock My Kingdom For A Sock
My Sock My Sock My Kingdom For A Sock Upon our bed of dreams now laid, To rest in peace amidst the shades, Your colour rich and vibrant green, I wish your passing was foreseen. I miss your warmth against my skin, For the cold of days, I allowed you in, To caress my soul with love and care, To seek another, I would not dare. I washed you clean and spun your dreams, And soaked in your scent, as I did breathe, So to the drawer of my heart you will stay, Through thick and thin, I will never stray. We played and danced found a warm place to put, All our memories that we shared together on foot, My despair is masked by the loss that I feel, For my love for you, was my Achilles heel. If I could spin my dreams to those of green, I would weave my love a wondrous scene, I would knit my words with those of guilt, And not another tear in my despair be spilt. So know in your soul, you shall never be alone, Even though your uncaring other half, has flown, For though two socks are always better than one, I will love you as two, 'til the other comes home.
