Who I Really Am
I ran from who I really am To find who I wanted to be Somewhere along the line I slowly forgot how to feel My body was a hollow shell Fake smiles and plastic feelings I fell in line with the world Guided by invisible strings I was like doll for the world to see For anyone and everyone To corrupt and manipulate See everything I feel in my heart Was it programmed or was it truly felt And the thing is gods broke my heart And devils held me close promising tomorrow But if I lie my nose grows Because I'm not even a real man And I might hold that title but not the rank I might sit on that throne but without a crown My face might as well be that of a clown Because I ran away from who I really am To find out who I wanted to be But then I finally found out That who I wanted to be Was already who I was
