She Vanished
Had she gone missing before I met and fell in love with her, Neither of us would have experienced any sense of loss. She would have remained beautiful in her own way, and I would have gone through life never knowing what it felt like to be in a relationship and interwoven with her. Before meeting her and really getting to know her, I had no interest in her type, and allowing her to be a part of my life was unthinkable. That is, or that was until I was introduced to her nearly two years ago. At first, I questioned the reason for such an introduction. Why would my friend think that I was interested in her type? But once we got acquainted, she just felt so right for me. I had gone so long without giving such a one the slightest chance of becoming a part of my life. But perhaps with such a sudden introduction and encounter, I had reached a point in my life where I was ready for change. I don't really know why. But I tell you, overnight, I became the better for it. Nevertheless, this relationship was short-lived because after enjoying the warmth of our relationship, and after liking the way I looked and felt with my very first pair of 'red socks', they came up missing and have been thus for several months. I've had many a missing sock that was never found but, in this case, The entire pair of socks is missing. What is not missing is the way those socks made me feel. If I should fail to locate them, I shall buy a new pair.
