Soul's Cry
In the depths of her eyes, I found a world untold, Secrets swirling like eddies. In a river of gold. Eyes, they say, are windows. To the soul's inner lore, And as I gazed into hers, I felt my own heart soar. At first, I saw happiness, Hope sparkling bright and clear, But soon, the light dimmed, As shadows drew near. Her eyes, once full of life, Now held a darker truth, A story of pain and strife, Hidden in her youth. Tears etched lines of sorrow, Scars marked her fragile frame, And in her eyes, I saw. The weight of untold shame. I watched her story unfold, A tale of broken dreams, Of innocence lost, In life's relentless streams. She fought battles unseen, Her soul a battlefield, Struggling to find peace. Amidst wounds never healed. In her eyes, I glimpsed. The depths of her despair, A darkness consuming her, Leaving her soul laid bare. As I stood witness to her pain, I questioned why I dared. To peer into her soul, To uncover secrets bared. But in the end, I realized. The truth that lay within: The girl whose eyes I gazed into Was a reflection of my own sin. For the darkness I saw in her eyes Was a mirror to my own strife, And in her final breath, I knew. The girl whose soul I saw was me, my life.
