My eyes bright and steady, my hopes they were ready, For familiar faces I'd meet. Since I felt right in place, I then picked up the pace, Old memories of when I was young. With those visions displayed of the games that I played, And all of the songs that I sung. I then began sweating and soon was forgetting, The times that I spent on this street. When suddenly I stopped, grabbed my chest and I dropped, Now the cold concrete I would meet. With my heart pounding loud, there were shouts from the crowd, I knew then that my death was near.
