White Collar Madness
To see monied power In seeing from a higher order of Things Fog still remaining fog, just thinner What’s this found as now seen? Just trying to get ahead A different kind of thing, changed? Maybe… same clothes Though with Evil still smiling Just changing masks more often… Cheshire cats know... take notice Much is not the same. For those in need of petting Needs become clearer Allegience losses are not more understandable Even when repeating The heart saddened, cries in lonliness ‘Where did, do lessons go? These coming back, as they do’. Wise seems such an honorific word then Needing more than just a little true validity For feeling does not provide a fine cover For it still lets the acid rains through. What to do… come sit again with us? ___*__ Well, perhaps one needs to use the word ‘creature’ more In describing low life’s as found... When stepping on smooth, cemented common grounds Finding such a lower caste of ‘Mr.’ thugs One’s with no economic boundaries. Oh, do place these souls In that appropriate simpler class Where in looking up, surprised… Seeing lower appear. Where does that mean we truly sat, set Feeling so smug in fake wealth Bragging us all such empty tithings. Is anyone, somewhere less smug Someone, seemingly better well placed Still able to get away quick So a man and his money can part Without suffering grevious wound and loss of spirit? So tough, finding lessor than before With all around chuckling ‘You thought we were so kind’. We all thought we were so kind. The joke continues with the Cheshire Cat laughing At sending another the wrong way. For he knows the prime secret... He can change color, we can’t.
