A Blank Canvas
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ blank page barren canvas hear me now tell me of your journey. on this night like a spark that ignites the flame give me that first word that begins that first phrase then takes root and cultivates into that first rhyme that forms my little sonnet like a maze embracing this moment breathing life onto this canvas with your words of prose sprinkle pollinate fill it abundantly like the expected mother to be as the day draws near the struggle labor banes so great so intense the agony the pain giving birth to this parchment of handwritten life when will it ever end? then it becomes quiet where silence has ceased all has stopped I look to gaze upon this once empty page I now see how the motivated can be inspired the hurting can be healed the hopeless can have hope and the faithless can have faith all within themselves once again may the story of this page serve as a living testament that emptiness and nothingness are never permanent
