Uncertain Steps
What does one express when their once closest departs? Do they round up the troubles past, exaggerating the negatives in pursuit of a sense of justice? Healing process... One might do, I can guess. Not her, cold-hearted. I believe she won't encounter difficulties in forgetting what I gave or possessed. How I miss thee. "Could you massage my back? I've had a long day." I haven't done this in years, I said. "About time you did." Harmless, right? Emotions I persuaded myself to abandon Forever holding the one gone high, I made a promise. I do not need man thrills anymore, so I thought. Dumbfounded. I have a nice guest, that's all it shall be. Chocolates, wine, and showers, perfume fills the air. Do not give me too much, please. You'll only get disappointed, continued kindness. "You're a tease," will be their comeback. If they could only see it's far deeper. I've never lied on knowing what I want... Nothing.
