The Space Around Me
Come and open the space around me and set my spirit free; come and open the space around and let me breathe some dignity; courage has a cookbook and wisdom has the recipe to make the headline for the evening news. I stand in this crammed space every day waiting for something positive to come my way, but all I feel is the negative vibration around and destiny keeps embracing me, as the cold air seeped through the door and my innate zeal keeps asking for more. I looked for a shoulder to lean and for someone to help me sing my song, it's a song that is not written in words, it is the song that is painted on my lips and rhythm is floating down my hips. If you don’t feel the vibration, you cannot sing, if you don’t feel the vibration, you cannot move to this rhythm, you have got to see it with your naked eyes to believe what is hanging from the roof that makes me look so cool. I remember the day when I came here everyone began to fear, I don’t have the physical strength to fight but the power in my words cut them up and toss them like dice. I can see beyond the depths and the valleys and how the old man tarry he is perhaps the closest friend I ever had, and he never let me down when I am sad; he is always there for me even when I am crawling on my knees, and when I lack the courage to go on, he plays a tune on the guitar to push me along. I have to create this reality to keep my spirit happy. He never let me down and he moves all over then town, he knows how to handle the moon and the stars, and he is always watching when the neighbors get into a brawl; he lives in the clouds above me and nurture my spirit with his harmonica and the flute, I always listen to it in my youth. and when I raise my head and look into the sky, he is always there with his flute; the old man in the clouds never dies, the old man in the cloud is watching you from the sky, the old man in the clouds is documenting everything that you do, the old man in the cloud will make my dreams come through. This morning, I felt my spirit drain and every day is never the same, the days come and go and there is nobody to understand how the seeds keep burning inside me, there is so much that I have to share, and I cannot do it here. Every day they disrupt my operation and try to find alibi to parachute them to the sky, if they continue to disrupt my activities you have to drop everyone off the bus, I will take that dreaded journey alone and let it leads me to where destiny is bound. There are just some things that you cannot do alone you just need that special friend that will be with you towards the end, that one will never let you down and it will be with you to see you through. The space around me is small and the people around me are strange, they have been coming and going for five years, I see them, but I don’t know them, I say hello to them, I have small talk with them, but they are not my friends. Come and open the space around me and let me breath fresh air.
