Good Vibrations
Good Vibrations It’s been one year, three months and two days, since Floyd last rode his Harley. Damn stroke! His F-ing left leg don’t work and he barely grips with his left hand. Sheila watches him every day, yep every F-ing day as he limps out to his bike. For hours he stares at it. She sees the right corner of his mouth lift, he can only half smile now. She’s pretty sure it’s a smile. He’s got one of those grippy things, he’s always trying to squeeze it. She can see that determination in his eyes. With his slurred speech He says “I’m gonna ride again” Sheila thinks just maybe he will. He’s had that Harley longer than her. Truth be told it was part of his appeal. Floyd was the bad boy and her, the Pastor’s daughter. She remembers his mischievous smile. Floyd was self assured but not cocky. He asked her “Do you want to go for a ride?” She said “no I couldn’t.” He laughed and said “I won’t bite, unless ya want me to.” Something about Floyd she couldn’t resist She said “Alright, but don’t go too fast.” She was scared and excited as she hopped on the back of his bike. Floyd told her to wrap her arms around his waist. She still remembers the smell of his leather jacket. Sheila liked the feel of the bike between her legs. Back then she wore a mini skirt, so there wasn’t much between her and the saddle. Harley’s have that delicious vibration. Yep, Floyd’s bike gave her an orgasm before he did. About ten months later her and Floyd got married. That was nearly forty years ago. Now many wouldn’t believe it but Sheila and Floyd didn’t consummate their relationship until the wedding night. She had her beliefs and Floyd respected them. It was worth the wait, riding Floyd was better than riding that Harley. That was then and this is now. Life has a way of taking but it gives too. Like Floyd, Sheila is determined. That spark is what attracted Floyd to her. It’s also kept him interested. She’s strong in the best of ways. Her faith has got them past a lot of . Unbeknownst to Floyd, Sheila’s been taking riding lessons. It’s taken nearly eight months but she’s got her licence. He kept asking her where she’s been going. All she ever said is “It’s a surprise, you're going to have to wait.” He’d think “There’s not much else I can do” Sheila walks by Floyd and straddles the Harley. She starts it up and looks into Floyd’s eyes. “Do you want to go for a ride?” Floyd says “Hell Ya!” He sits on the back of the Harley with his arms around her waist. He feels scared and excited. Mostly he’s happy as hell. In about ten months from now, Floyd will be riding. Sheila will be happy to be on the back again. Yep, enjoying those good vibrations.
