At dawn of a heart reblooming, upon black-and-white pages spills the tale
At dawn of a heart reblooming, upon black-and-white pages spills the tale, Of a love slain in its infancy, where hatred embraced the bride so pale. A life that seemed sprung from dreams played out in another age, But I can't forget, how you made me suffer, like a deceived stag in a cage. You played with me like a puppeteer with his puppet in the show, Leaving my soul to yellow, like a fameless autumn's glow. Your blows, a bitter rain upon my longing face, Painted hopes and once fiery dreams in a blue disgrace. Yet from the shadows of the moment, I chose to hastily stride, Burying love in the abyss of the heart, a storm over shattered feelings wide. I swear to banish your name from speech, to erase the wind it rode upon, Your memory, a wilted flower in the book of my life, forever gone. I rose up, from a ravaged spirit, from the hell where you had me thrown, A hammer of iron in the weighty night, by chill and despair alone sewn. I'll not allow even the thought that another cruel fist might rise, For now, I stand brave, a warrior on the altar of my own prosperity, wise. Years and years, time lost to teach my flesh to feel the thrill anew, To love myself, like the snow's flirtation when it turns into a river true, the yearning grew. Would you recognize me? Are you there, in time's mirror by chance? A new being, a reborn sun making its way through the mists, with its wild radiance. I breathe with ease, the air is sweet, the scent of freedom dressing the green fields wide, And at last, I can begin to live, to lay down my verse, to sing poems, my heart as guide, For behold me, a Phoenix hearted, from the ashes of deception reborn, A soul rediscovered, a promise of azure, on the canvas of eternity drawn.
