Pen in Hand
I sit here with my pen in my hand, observing how words appear before me. I’m in a state of bewilderment. Where do these words come from? How does my hand know how to translate my invisible thoughts into decipherable words, lines, and verses? Where do the thoughts come from that precede the words? Is this really Sara Baker writing or am I watching Sara Baker put these words on the paper? Is the Universe writing through me? Was I intended to be the messenger before I showed up here as a baby? Will these words live beyond my lifetime? I’m bewildered by it all, and I’m humble in my inability to know where any of my accomplishments come from. poetry~~emotion finds its thoughts. thought finds words. with free hand, poet offers up his ink, a rhymical creation of beauty in words.
