LA or Carolina Clay
Purple phone on the piano Red rings sing of missed rendezvous I’m sure it is my fuchsia fellow But what’s a cocoa girl to do I’m in love with music and neon notes Are so fun to tangerine discover His heart amethyst art full of hope But melodies are my mahogany lover He beckons me with a turquoise tease I’m the man, you’re my mocha lady Would you pink please marry me Leave your home do as I say baby Now I know no other Caramel folks Who live in the teal thrills of L.A. I’m quite content on the east coast With bare brown feet in Carolina clay If it’s deep I should be blues free Throwing cherry caution to the wind My music is peace and my purple poetry Have been my companion and friend I’m a strange bird for I love his white words Of desire to be wed and sandy such But it feels free to just be green Like a single note of a lone song bird My friends say you must move away If he is to be your beloved husband But the music is moving me to stay The thought of leaving despite lovin I really haven’t made a choice Was born a single lady in December Perhaps in praying to the lord He will soon solve my humble dilemma Music is my first love and Poetry is song of word I suppose if love is strong enough I’d fly like a prized white dove
