Who are we at our core - title edit
There is a test for personalities by Dr. Hartman called “The Color Code.” He studied folks both here and from abroad. In every land exist a basic four he’s labeled Yellow, Red, or White or Blue. The test has nothing though to do with colors. You answer questions based on how you felt when you were a young child, and that’s because the “core” of us is really who we are. In brief, the person with a core of Red gets to the point and is a leader too. He’s prone to be impatient and aggressive. Each personality has pros and cons. The person labeled Blue is spiritual. If not, he’s prone to lead with heart, not mind. He’s true and blue, but also he may show some traits like jealousy and unforgiveness. The person with a core of White might be ambivalent and often indecisive. To keep the peace, he often will endure those aggravating him and just play nice. Type Yellow likes to play and shirk his work. Like White, he can be lazy. Yellow’s not dependable although folks find him charming. We each by different things are motivated. While Red desires control, White just wants peace. Intimacy is the motivation for Blue while Yellow yearns to just have fun. A person might be almost totally pure Yellow, a pure Red, pure White or Blue. Most people have a secondary color. I’m mostly White but Yellow I have too. Most arguments I’ll try to just avoid by letting an aggressor’s words go through one ear and out my other, but I’ll still do what I want; I’m stubborn “silently.” My secondary Yellow can be strong. I much prefer my pleasures to my jobs! You need to stay true to the core of you. However, you must strive to show the traits of who you are by being your BEST self. Eliminate the bad traits you are prone to. Illuminate the ones that are the good. Although I’m lazy when it comes to housework, I’m conscientious when at work, and with my friends I am trustworthy; keeping peace and having fun still are my motivations. Each type of personality can grow much stronger losing flaws of his color. A person labeled “characterized” is a person who’s embraced the strengths of ALL the different colors’ traits, which great folks do! I really like the book “The Color Code.” As White with Yellow, I’m the rarest type. My type is known as a people-pleaser. Many of the flaws of my two colors I have erased, but I still hate housework!
