MY HOPEFUL RESOLUTIONS
“I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” Psalms 91:2, King James Version Striving to become better every year I thank the Almighty for gracious cheer Upholding me well along divine zest Knowing my limitations’ frailty pest. Yes, I have New Year resolution’s list Which annually takes any turn and twist Showing carnal weakness of failure blight As I admit my human nature plight. Thus, I go on with my faith's prayer wish That helps me propelled against selfish swish Doing best, trusting God Who grants wisdom Along bestowed stewardship freedom. Still, I’ll continue with my wellness-zeal Being concerned of weight for good health seal Lesser sugar, enough water intake Sufficient rest while mindful to eat cake. I never will forget to exercise Sleeping early, so at dawn I arise Praying to stay strong, vibrantly alright Blissfully retiring before midnight. Accepting gray hair, not fretting to age Taking advantage of young adult stage May I be resolved to be giving a smile When mistaken as grandmom for a while. Of course, I’ll rejoice in the Lord always As I desire to be glad all my days And indeed persist to overcome stress Since I have the Saviour as my fortress.
