That Big Tree From Our Hometown That I Visit Sometimes
Don’t mind me I’m just laying on my bed plotting ways to save the world I saw my lucky stars wrapped around Jupiter It hurts to know that what I needed most couldn’t provide in that moment Will someone please touch my heart? Like pen to paper, fuel to fire, go ahead and grab my heart strings How could I spread my wings and fly without believing in myself? Here’s to all my lucky stars that stuck around to this point I wrapped my arms around Jupiter to feel safer within myself Where’s that sense of community when I’m clearly needing it the most? Apparently my will got over this before I did Will you show up just like you said you would? Apparently, my inhibition got over this before I did I’m sending my best to everyone that never judged me just because Don’t mind me I’m lying in my bed picturing my name in the clouds Like pen to paper writing the only poem that had the power to change the world In the life I’ve built inside my head, I can do just about anything and I’d hate to be a hero in a world I couldn’t save With the life outside my eyes there’s too much risk to stay the same and I don’t want to be a hero to a world I couldn’t save
