The story of the bells has been passed down from old to young, It is the story of a special birth that happened and this is how it begun There in a little town called Bethlehem. And in a lowly stable on a bed of straw, Mary’s boy child lay quietly as the nearby sheppard's knelt in aww. In a far off land a star appeared brightly in the sky, That led the three wise men to the stable where they found that child inside. They laid down their gifts for the child to behold The gifts of myrrh, frankincense and gold . Above the stable the host of angels sang out the praises of this new born king Though that magical night is gone The miracle of his birth lives on and on As the sound of the bells fills the night air, I remember that little child and say a prayer
