I love drawing. It’s how I express myself. But these drawings, nobody ever saw. Drawings that I hid. I loved drawing, I was good at it too. Getting the angles and lines perfect. But no one thought my art was pretty. But they never knew. They never knew what the drawings were. The blade across the skin, the silver turning red. I never knew I loved drawing so much, until I kept doing it, to numb the pain. When people ask my favorite color, I always say red. When I say that, they think cherries, hearts, clothing, and eye shadow and bows. But that’s not what I'm talking about. I like red. The red that drips down my arm, with every slice I make. The red that drops to the floor, as tears flow down my face. The red that when I see it, it makes me feel numb. But it makes me feel good. Drawing is fun! I love using red. Drawing is calming! It makes me forget the pain. Drawing is nice. The lines are so vibrant. Drawing is relaxing! The slashes so deep, as more red spills out. The agony forgotten, the heartbreak lost. Drawing is great. But the ache slowly creeps in. The guilt of what I’ve done, so apparent in my mind. The thoughts of those who care, come flooding in remembrance. I regret what I’ve done, and people will finally see the drawings, that I hid from everyone.

'Drawings'
