My Wife
Throughout our lives, we’ve walked many roads, Lived in many places, in many abodes. The one thing consistent all through my life, Is my cherished, precious, and loving wife. Always so thoughtful and trying to please, Loving and caring, she puts me at ease. She shares of her wisdom, thoughtful insight, Many complexities she brings to light. Though written most often, seldom spoke out, But when she does speak, her words carry clout. When she does speak, in her own gifted way, Others go silent to hear what she’ll say. It’s not so different, as most thought they knew, The depth and uniqueness bring a new view. At times the obvious is overlooked. Her pearls of wisdom will soon have you hooked. I think it’s her mind, that most intrigues me, I think of wonders she seems to see. I’ll just practice patience, wait a brief while, She always says something filled with her smile.
