Hope Is a Thousand
Hope is a thousand Repeated words Of what is And what is to come. Hope is in the butterflies Of a thousand wishes, That one day things Will suddenly change, That the life I live Won’t be the life I will be living. Hope is in the sight Of a thousand stars, That out of all the Plentiful stars In the sky, You would wish On me. Hope is in the flow Of a thousand tears Flowing from my eyes And onto my cheeks, That, in some miracle, The tears will build Me a new river That I can follow, So my path will change For the better. Hope is in the noise Of a thousand steps, The clatter of my feet Towards you, Hoping that this time, Things will be different, That you will open your arms wide And accept me. Hope is in the confusion Of a thousand thoughts, That I’m hoping for the right One, Or if I should let go.
