When Comfort Runs Out
I escaped to the mountains to learn more about myself; I escaped to the mountains to find comfort among the trees and absorb fresh air from the atmosphere but when I got there and stood in front of the mountain it stares back at me and in the stillness of the night it speaks to me. Why did you come here when you have so much to share, why did you come here when the mountain is in despair? I have taken so much from you to keep my roots firm in the ground; they come from all over and stand on my head, lovers and murderers looking for an answer on how to have their love ones dead, they spit on me and kick me on the knee and when they cannot have their way, they root up the tree and roll the rocks down the hill. I sat still and watch the trespassers walking up and down in my head, spilling out hateful words about people they do not know; and make vicious plans on how to bury the dead; they were planning a first-degree murder on top of the hill and almost fell while walking it through. “It’s me you are waking on for heaven's sake watch our step or you will fall on your face” I whispered silently “Did you hear that babe?” he uttered, they looked around but no one was there and I continue to bear the burden of the unfaithful couple parading and fussing on top of the mountain. The rain started to drizzle and he began to cough and the comfort that they seek disappears suddenly in the dark, and they finally climb down from the mountain. I spend some time up there gazing at the vast hemisphere, the clouds meet beneath the hills smiling at the daffodils and the rainbow running across the ocean connecting with the sea holding a special message for thee, it cannot be written in notes or transcribe on paper it is only for your eyes to see and it bears the code of the human destiny, few people know it and few people understand it, the facts are clear that destiny is drawing near. See them scatter everywhere, this life has no one to spare, it can take you away from your comfort zone and lead you into the unknown, you have to find that comfort in you and work hard to make your dreams come through, and when you encounter problems on the way rest a while and get up and go again. You have got to find that comfort in you, the mountain or the sea cannot give it to you. It is a race for life and the will and the courage to stay alive; move to a safe place and follow the protocols to ward off the negative energy or you will be sorry. Separate the sheep from the goat and put your people in a big boat, find a place where the temperature is right and pitch your tent and start a brand new life.
