Got to see a gift today A gift I got from God I came across some 3D glasses And thought it very odd I put the glasses beside me And wonder what they’d bring The next thing I noticed Was the date on them Oct; 14 23 Tomorrow I took the glasses home And thought what a wonderful thing I could see the eclips with this That God gave me Morning found me busy and then I thought about the thing Turned the television on And It was waiting for me Moments of time away I didn’t miss a thing I went outside this sunny day To see what it would bring I saw the very beginning What a wonderful thing to see Then I thought my neighbors Would want to see the thing I see I yelled for total strangers And walked across the lot Mostly spanish speaking people I let see what I had got I looked a dozen times While the moon crossed the spot A once in a lifetime venture Was the ideal of my though I’d give to total strangers the thing for which I’ll never be forgot But when it all was over The glasses were not forgot Thank you God for presence A presence I almost forgot Thanks for what you gave me That I could give from just a lot
