Leaving
See them scattered everywhere in buses, trucks and horse buggies, thousands of them lined the street with only the clothes on their backs and a bottle of water to wet their dry throats when the temperature gets hot. Some are going to the north with courage in their frock and a young baby strapped on to their backs. They were warned to turn around because the north is loaded with drones, food is rationed over there and the natives have nothing to spare. Some heed to the warning and made a right about turn to face the barrel of the gun that knocks them to the ground. Hundreds of them lay on the road side with white sheets covering their face and body bags in the back of the truck fill with corpse’s of those that were once here and slowly disappeared. See them wandering around the bend following a crowd that has nowhere to go, they have come to this spot and have turned back several times because they just can’t make up their mind. This is the scary part of the journey that everyone had to contend with once you pass that place you cannot go back through the gate. Women and children bond together seeking a better tomorrow their husband has defected to the other side and young boys were indoctrinated into the nail-biting army and those that stayed behind traveled with the women to keep their company. They are leaving but where are they going? The temperature is falling and soon winter will come alive, and they will have to pay painful sacrifice. The ground will get cold and winter will penetrate their fragile skins, their sorrows will materialize and heaven will touch the skies. See them standing over there in groups contemplating what to do, they have walked off every single pair of shoe and the one on their feet has no sole, they and been there since the exodus began but there are just some things that you just can’t understand but time will unravel them if they journey to the end. Some things call for diplomatic solution and you have to get everyone together in a hurry. There are several different slices of cheese, and you have to choose the slice that sandwiched well with the breeze. Jamaica spice bun and French crescents have nothing in common and American bagel and British toad in hole is good for your soul, Middle Eastern chapatti and Italian pizza is good for your belly, you must organize a table fill with fine food and gather the entire Middle Eastern , Asian African leader to dine together. America is he guest speaker. You will identify a central plot of land far away from the border to build new homes for the people of Gaza, you will create a dynasty in that place to accommodate a new Palestine race and seal it in ink in a binding peace treaty that will last for eternity. Each leader will contribute ten million dollars for this special project. See them coming down the street without shoes on their feet they have something unique share; listen carefully when you go over there.
