The Reason Galleries Put Art On the Wall Rather Than Showcase the Plastering
I'm a little bit of a chancer Like driving to the wrong place, whilst ill to deliver training on something I read yesterday and claiming I'm on location (I kinda felt like Phil from Groundhog Day...) The world bends to fit a little bit and actually sometimes it works better than the dull sameness of the conformist (I'll check my managers view on delivering training from a car in the rain... I may be available soon to write poetry at my leisure or be applauded for my ability to think on my feet or car seat...) I see it at the school gates sometimes, someone is pitch perfect, remembers to follow up on snippets of a previous conversation and bores your socks off because of the toxic positivity of the perfect image There's another mum (not me, I think I exude slightly strange, wholesome, yet intelligent and witty vibes - on a good day) who'll announce she's not had a shower instead of saying hello - I like her more than the others The "best image" is the forgettable gloss when the texture is what makes something special I definitely will buck my ideas up for the next training event but I love encountering realness in people - it's thrilling in the same way monkeys don't want to hug stainless steel statues but something with at least warmth and a heartbeat I think I may actually have a fever so I'm going to go home and lie down...
