The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse's Seal Judgements' Part One
I (the Apostle John) watched as the Lamb (Jesus Christ) opened the first of the seven seals. Than I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, "Come!" I looked, and before me was a white horse! It's rider held a bow with no arrow, and he was given a crown and he rode out like a conqueror to conquest. Commentary The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse The rider on the white horse is the anti-christ. Having a bow with no arrow could mean both economic and political power. It is indicating that he is military strong, in the beginning he does his conquering through diplomacy. His crown was not a kingly crown likened unto the ones worn by the King of Kings and the Lord's of Lord's Jesus Christ. Instead it is a wreath crown of victory worn by the winners of the Greek Olympic games. The rider on the white horse is the first rider of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The first of the four horsemen, the second red horse, means war the third black horse means famine and the pale horse represents both death and hell. When the Lamb opened up the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" It's rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men to slay each other. To him was given a large sword. When the Lamb opened up the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, " Come!" I looked and before me was a black horse! It's rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine. Commentary Black horse Wheat is a more nutritious grain than barley and would be given to the workers first and barley is a less nutritious grain that would be given shortly when the world wide famine became greater. It would be like a loaf of bread for a day's wages and a man would watch his family starve to death because he could not afford to feed them. But there would be luxury co-existing with poverty for a very brief period of time, the rich wouldn't help the poor. When the Lamb opened up the third seal, I heard the fourth living creature say," Come!" I looked before me was a pale horse! It's rider was Death and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague and by the wild beasts of the earth. Roxanne Lea Dubarry September 18, 2023
