Shadows
Sitruc was the heavy-thinking kind, Never making waves or stepping out of line. Success as perceived by him at the time, always seemed to slip through his fingers. Lots of questions and very few real answers. Sitruc would often say to himself, "Often close, but success is never mine. Often hard to define and difficult to find. Don't stare into mirrors but look through windows. Rise above mediocrity and don't settle for SHADOWS. Reach for the stars. Pick your peak and climb". Not looking for success like all the rest, for Sitruc, there were occasional reaches and goals always within sight. There also were opportunities to go for with all one's might. The heart creates a smiley face saying, "It's happening to me". Dreams sometimes have the look and the feel of the real deal. But they are mere SHADOWS pretending to be real. Notwithstanding, refusing to quit, Sitruc drank the bitter herbs with occasional sweets. And he kept saying, "Why not me? Why not now? Do I not deserve a treat?
